Springtime
by Abby Jacobs
The winter cold replaced by growth again.
Springtime at last has come, sunshine is bright.
Ducks waddling, chicks peep around their pen
The moon comes out to say to us goodnight.
People around dance to the springtime’s song
Tulips budding to dance in sweet spring winds.
Few months ago winter’s cool snow along
Came to abound, but now warm rest begins.
The dark, long nights at last will come to rest
The sun comes up to greet us good morning
The cold, harsh winds that put us to the test
Are now all gone, the grass at last coming.
The hope and life of spring has come to stay.
Springtime, rejoice! For it’s your time to play.
